I brought in a daily Seiko that had been running a couple of minutes fast every day for a while. Pendulus took it in for the Movement Service, sent me a message with what they found before starting, and had it back to me within ten days. The before-and-after timing sheet was something I hadn't seen from a watchmaker before — genuinely useful to have.

Had a vintage Omega that belonged to my father and I'd been nervous about taking it anywhere. Pendulus were patient in explaining the Heritage Overhaul process — no pressure to decide quickly. The piece came back in noticeably better condition and the documentation they provided was thorough. Took about four weeks, which felt right for the scope.

Simple quartz refresh for a watch I wear daily. They checked the seals properly — not just swapped the battery — and it came back pressure-tested. The condition note was brief but covered what I needed to know. Straightforward, good value, no fuss.

Tourist, passing through Pattaya
My Tudor had stopped and I was in Pattaya for only a week. I walked in on a Monday and they had it assessed and confirmed working by Thursday — surprisingly quick for a mechanical service. They were honest that a full service would take longer than I had, and recommended I consider it when I was back. No upselling, just practical advice.

I had used a mall kiosk before and the watch started losing time again within a few months. Came to Pendulus on a friend's suggestion. The Movement Service they did was clearly more thorough — the condition note explained that the previous lubrication had dried out unevenly, which explained the inconsistent rate. Happy with the result and the transparency.

Three watches over two years — a quartz, a modern automatic, and one proper old piece that needed the full overhaul. Pendulus has been consistent across all three: the communication is clear, the work is careful, and the prices are what they say they will be. No surprises, which is not something you can say everywhere.

Three Watches, Three Stories
A closer look at how Pendulus approached three different types of work.
An everyday diver with compromised seals
Challenge
The owner had replaced the battery himself twice. Each time, the watch fogged up after a swim. He assumed the issue was the battery brand.
What We Did
Quartz Refresh with full gasket replacement and post-reseal pressure test. The original crown gasket had been pinched during a previous DIY battery change.
Outcome
Passed the pressure test, returned with a clean bill of health in the condition note. The owner has since worn it swimming without issue.
"I had no idea the crown seal was the problem. Good to know properly rather than guess."
A modern automatic losing 3–4 minutes per day
Challenge
A watch purchased around 2017 had never been serviced. The owner noticed increasing daily drift and assumed something was broken.
What We Did
Full Movement Service. The timing machine showed +4 min/day before service and -2 sec/day after cleaning, lubrication, and regulation. Nothing was worn out — simply dried lubricant and an out-of-spec escapement rate.
Outcome
Returned to the owner within 9 days with the timing sheet. Condition note confirmed no worn components found.
"Seeing the before and after numbers helped me understand why it needed the service — not just that it did."
A 1960s dress watch passed down two generations
Challenge
The watch ran but inconsistently. The case showed significant wear and the crown did not seat properly. The owner wanted it functional without altering its aged character.
What We Did
Full Heritage Overhaul over 4.5 weeks. Movement disassembled, cleaned, and regulated. Crown replaced with a period-appropriate part sourced after two weeks. Case cleaned without over-polishing — the owner specifically asked that the patina be preserved.
Outcome
Running within +6 sec/day. Full stage documentation provided. Owner received ongoing care guidance for a watch of that age and type.
"They understood that I wanted it cared for, not restored to new. That's a different thing, and they got it."
